GROW DINOSAURS

We literally have an entire trilogy of movies that explain why that is a bad idea.

I read the above comment and John Hammond’s voice immediate piped up in my head, “But this time we’ll do it right, we’ll spare no expense!”

So I guess the year 10,000 isn’t happening then??? Must have missed a memo.

Due to the high amount of unused URLs on Tumblr, whoever does not reblog this by June 38th, 2910 will be sent into the Hunger Games, and be forced to fight against eachother until the last URL wins.

Thanks for being awesome! (and validating my Deltora post with a reblog :D )

I was having major Deltora-nostalgia. I’m more involved with the Silmarillion now, but… wow, Deltora was incredible. I’m insanely happy at the fact my little sister’s almost old enough to read it (I’ll have an excuse to read them again as well) :D

AND you’re a Slytherin on Pottermore? I only go on there when I’m sick and really need to kill time, but me too!

Yeah I get that nostalgia every so often. I probably end up reading them about once a year. Emily Rodda also wrote a series called Rowan of Rin which I thought was pretty good if you interested :)

(Also there is an anime series based off the first series of Deltora books. They are rife with storyline inaccuracies, but not bad if you can deal with that).

Go go Slytherin! I was excited to get into the site but it updates so slow I usually only remember it every few months and complete the new chapters that open. Can’t believe we are last in the house cup atm, we won the first one :(

Yeah, I read the Rowan of Rin books as well! :D I just get blown away by the cool stuff she puts in her stories - the Maris folk, the Zebak and their culture, the painted silks…

*sigh* Well, it’s hard to win ‘em all. I don’t expect to contribute much, seeing as any attempts at potion-brewing have left me swearing at the screen (my computer ALWAYS stalls at just the wrong moment, and boom, dead potion).

Yeah I don’t think the exploding cauldron thing is fair, especially due to different computer capabilities. Like my pc runs it great but it was better on my friends cause it ran slow so I actually had more time to do everything :P

I agree I love the effort Rodda puts into backstory which made me super excited when they brought out “Tales of Deltora” and “Secrets of Deltora” :)

Actually still haven’t read ‘Tales of Deltora’. Looking forward to finding that sometime - and her ‘Golden Door’ trilogy, which I hear is set in the same world as Deltora back in the time of Adin.

Hold up! There’s a series set during Adin’s timeline?!?!

image

I know what books I’m reading next :D

What I’ve heard is that it’s not actually set in Deltora, so Adin only gets some mentions (ARGH) but Deltora gets referenced as ‘the land of dragons’ and apparently the Shadow Lord turns out to have a normal(ish) name, have BROTHERS, and you get hints as to what exactly he is. So, not Deltora-centric, but definitely worth tracking down.

Well during Deltora they do mention the “land across the west sea”, and in the Deltoran Lore it is hinted that the Shadow Lord originated from that land. So I’m guessing it will be about that land maybe if I had to make a guess based on our combined knowledge of a book series neither of us has read ;)
Sounds pretty cool. Definitely going to track it down :)
