Balancing Extremes
I have found that the human race is one of extremes. To solve a problem it is usually the broad end of the spectrum that we look at first. That tree in your way? Cut it down. That bug scared the living daylights out of you, SQUISH IT!!! We seem to easily jump to these solutions and very rarely consider a solution that finds balanced with both parties involved.
